Club Info

The Beechwood Sea Angling Club celebrates its 25th year in 2008.
We are a bunch of blokes who like to go on organised boat fishing trips 6 or 7 times a year. Our point of departure is usually the Beechwood Bar at 6 or 7 am, depending on where our trip is. Costs are approximately 25 - 30 quid a trip.

We have a small number of members who drive other members in their cars (for which they get the obligatory petrol money) We have an annual trip to Donegal where members have the choice of sampling the local hospitality or going fishing in the Atlantic (OR BOTH!!!)

Most members enjoy the ocassional glass of sherry or shandy, but we do not encourage drinking whilst at sea. Our age ranges are from late 20s to 70s. You can drop us an E mail any time with questions.

Hot Of The Press

September is traditionally dominated by the trip to Dungloe and the annual pre Ireland meeting, and this year is no exception. We are looking for everyone going on the trip to come along on the 4th to the Beechwood so we can get our cash to Hughie and so we can all get a laugh at the riot act the P&O send us. We just might get a few details sorted out at the same time. However there is more going on this September, Ray and I have started to look at possible destinations for next year’s trips and we would very much like your input. Please get in touch with us with any suggestions. I am planning on called the AGM early this year probably some point in November so that we can debate a short list of destinations and we can there get them booked sharpish. No trip is a given next year so have your say where you would like to go.

Let me know what you think John.
